Overview
The Vezel is Honda's compact crossover sold in Japan and Asia, closely related to the HR-V sold in Australia but with different styling and a hybrid powertrain option. Never officially sold here, it has become a popular grey import thanks to its fuel-efficient e:HEV hybrid system, modern interior and car-like driving dynamics.
The Vezel has never been officially sold in Australia. Grey imports began arriving around 2016, with the hybrid AWD variant being particularly sought after for its combination of efficiency and all-weather capability.
1st Gen (RU1-4)

Original Vezel with sleek coupe-SUV styling. Hybrid variant uses a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Very popular grey import in Australia, particularly the hybrid AWD variant.

2nd Gen (RV3-6)
2021-present
Redesigned Vezel with e:HEV hybrid system. More upright styling, larger interior. Four distinct grades: X (base), Z (premium), PLaY (style-focused), HuNT (active/outdoor). 2025 update adds the sporty RS grade with lowdown suspension and dark chrome exterior.
