Honda Jazz

Overview

The Jazz was a favourite among Australian city drivers for its clever packaging and Magic Seats. Sold in Australia for almost 20 years from 2002 to 2020, it clocked up 143,163 sales and accounted for almost one in five Hondas sold during that time. Honda Australia ran out the third generation with a Final Edition in late 2020 and did not bring the fourth-generation hybrid (GR) to market locally. The Jazz remains one of the most popular used cars in Australia, with strong value retention and a growing cult following among Gen Z buyers.

The Jazz arrived in Australia in 2002 as a replacement for the City, and it was an immediate hit. The first-generation GD model introduced Honda's Magic Seats, a fold-flat rear seat system that could create a completely flat load floor or a tall cargo space. Priced from $16,990, it was affordable, practical, and fun to drive. It quickly became one of Honda Australia's best sellers.
