Overview
The sixth-generation CR-V is bigger, more refined, and now available as a plug-in hybrid. It's Honda's volume seller in Australia, competing head-on with the RAV4 and CX-5.
The CR-V arrived in Australia in 1997 as Honda's first SUV. At a time when SUVs were still rugged, body-on-frame trucks, the CR-V was a revelation: a car-based crossover with a fold-flat picnic table in the boot, double-wishbone suspension, and Honda's trademark build quality. It was an instant hit with Australian families who wanted SUV practicality without the bulk of a Prado or Pajero.
